Just took my Shahadah!!! Alhamdulilah!!! It’s going to be a very long road but it’s a start! 😄

Can we stop using reverts as a way to say “Alhamdulillah for being born Muslim”. yes you should be appreciative for being born in a Muslim family but after seeing it a thousand times on tweets, tumblr, etc. it makes reverts  (or at least me) feel sort of depressed for being considered a revert and having no support.

I think we all know in the back of our mind that their is a distinction between born Muslims and reverts. Even if you personally make reverts feel welcomed their are a lot of people (that even I have encountered with) that think that I am different from them because I wasn’t born a Muslim (especially when everyone thinks Im a new Muslim when I’ve been Muslim for a while).

I know people may disagree with me, idk this is how I feel to be honest.

what pisses me off is that my parents have money to pay for my college, have even saved up money specifically for me to pay for college and now won’t.

Even for student loans I can’t get that much cause my parents make enough to support me but choose not to
